Monday May 4, 7pm: The history and mysteries of Unlawful Things. Online talk via Zoom. Email me on firstname.lastname@example.org for the link. I’ll be giving a 20-minute talk then answering questions about the real-life people and places behind the novel.
I’ll be leading a walk around Deptford waterfront, talking about the literary figures associated with or inspired by Deptford, including Christopher Marlowe and Samuel Pepys.
Update: Sadly the Deptford Literature Festival has been cancelled due to coronavirus.

I’ll be giving a talk, The Mysteries of Cobham Hall, about the fascinating history I uncovered when researching Cobham Hall in Kent for Unlawful Things.
