Walks, talks and events

Would you like to hear more about Unlawful Things? I’m always keen to meet and talk to readers and potential readers. Whether you run a local historical society, social group or book club, I’d be happy to come and talk about my research, writing process, inspiration – or anything else you might find interesting! Drop me a line at hello@annasayburnlane.com for more details.

See below for events in 2020.

Monday May 4, 7pm: The history and mysteries of Unlawful Things. Online talk via Zoom. Email me on hello@annasayburnlane.com for the link. I’ll be giving a 20-minute talk then answering questions about the real-life people and places behind the novel.

Saturday March 14, 13.00: Deptford Literary Festival CANCELLED

I’ll be leading a walk around Deptford waterfront, talking about the literary figures associated with or inspired by Deptford, including Christopher Marlowe and Samuel Pepys.

Update: Sadly the Deptford Literature Festival has been cancelled due to coronavirus.

Wednesday March 11, 19.00: Meopham Historical Society.
I’ll be giving a talk, The Mysteries of Cobham Hall, about the fascinating history I uncovered when researching Cobham Hall in Kent for Unlawful Things.

Tuesday January 28, 18.30 to 19.30: Crofton Park Library reading group.
I’ll be joining the reading group for a discussion of Unlawful Things.
